Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 2, 2025

Welcome to FamousBeing (“we”, “our”, “us”). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It is designed with reference to applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”).

1) Information we collect

  • Order & account data: name, shipping/billing address, email, phone, order details, account credentials (if you create an account).
  • Payment data: card/UPI details are processed by our payment partners; we receive a payment confirmation token/ID but not your full card number.
  • Communications: messages you send via our contact forms, email, WhatsApp, social media, or reviews.
  • Device & usage data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, time on site, and referrer, collected via cookies or analytics.
  • Marketing preferences: your newsletter opt-in status and related engagement (opens/clicks).
  • Support & returns: details you provide for order lookups, returns/replacements, or warranty queries.

2) How we use your information

  • To fulfill orders and provide customer support, returns, and exchanges.
  • To process payments and prevent fraud or misuse of COD.
  • To improve our store, troubleshoot issues, and analyze product performance.
  • To communicate with you about orders, delivery updates, and service notices.
  • With your consent, to send promotions and product recommendations (you can opt out anytime).
  • To comply with law and enforce our terms and policies.

3) Cookies & similar technologies

We use cookies and similar tools to operate the site, remember your preferences, and measure performance. You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Essential cookies are necessary for the site to function (e.g., cart, checkout).

4) How we share information

We do not sell your personal data. We share limited information with:

  • Payment processors (e.g., UPI/Card gateways) to complete transactions.
  • Logistics & delivery partners to ship your order and provide tracking.
  • Fulfilment partners/suppliers who pack and dispatch orders (only what’s needed to fulfill your order).
  • Analytics & marketing services (only if you consent or where permitted) to understand site performance and improve our offerings.
  • Authorities or legal requests when required by law or to protect our rights or users.

5) Payments, COD & fraud prevention

  • Online payments: Processed securely by our payment partners; we do not store full card data.
  • Cash on Delivery (COD): We may verify contact details, impose COD limits, or restrict COD based on fraud risk.
  • Chargebacks & disputes: Relevant order and contact data may be shared with processors to resolve claims.

6) Fulfilment & third-party suppliers

Some products may be shipped directly by our trusted suppliers (dropshipping). We share only the minimum data required to fulfill your order—typically your name, shipping address, and contact number for delivery updates.

7) Data retention

We keep your data only as long as necessary for the purposes above—for example, for the life of your account, to complete your order, for tax/audit requirements, or to resolve disputes. When no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.

8) Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the type of information we process. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we strive to protect your data but cannot guarantee absolute security.

9) Your rights & choices

  • Access/Correction: Request a copy of your data or ask us to correct inaccuracies.
  • Deletion: Ask us to delete your personal data when no longer needed, subject to legal obligations.
  • Consent withdrawal: Opt out of marketing emails at any time (unsubscribe link or email us).
  • Cookie controls: Manage non-essential cookies in your browser or device settings.

To exercise these rights, contact us at support@famousbeing.com.

10) Children’s privacy

Our site is intended for use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without appropriate consent as required by law. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us to have it removed.

11) International transfers

Your data may be processed outside India by our service providers. Where applicable, we take steps to ensure an adequate level of protection consistent with this policy.

12) Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable laws. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
